The B&B Al Sasso is located in Toceno, the place with the best views in the whole Vigezzo Valley and, according to an old folk song "Toceno, enchanting village, is called the balcony over the Valley…". We are in the Lepontine Alps, near the entrance to the fascinating Val Grande National Park. From the B&B AL SASSO you can easily reach Arvogno and Blizz, among the most famous and popular areas in the Valley, and the starting points for lots of wonderful hikes.
The house was built recently and has a double bedroom with a balcony and a twin room with an extra bed and two bathrooms. Guests may use the large terraces and the garden, which has outdoor games and sun loungers. There are also a reading corner, TV, music and exclusive use of a kitchen, laundry room, child’s pushchair, high chair, cot and bicycles. A few kilometres from our B&B is the magnificent sanctuary of Re, the destination for many pilgrimages dedicated to Our Lady of Blood. We hope to welcome you and remind you to include in your plans the wonderful ride on the little blue and white train that runs the entire Swiss-Italian line from Domodossola to Locarno. The welcome from B&B AL SASSO includes a large breakfast and tastes of local specialties. See you there!
* Small and medium size pets are welcome only in some rooms, with an extra charge of 10€ for final cleaning.

The Vigezzo Valley offers its visitors a unique habitat in the Ossola area. Unlike the other valleys in Ossola, when you arrive at an altitude of 800 meters, the Vigezzo Valley opens out into wider spaces and a long plateau (“Piana”).The south side is covered by a large pine forest, where you can go for relaxing long walks. On the sunny north side you can visit the picturesque hill villages and hamlets. Among the highlights for visitors are the worldwide chimneysweeps’ meeting, the Christmas market and local fairs in spring and summer.

In winter you can go cross-country skiing on tracks that run through the pine forest, or go downhill skiing at Piana and on the nursery slopes at the Baitina Snow Park. For ice-skating lovers, you will find everything you need for a great day out at the Peschiera.
In summer, there are plenty of trekking opportunities, including dozens of easy excursions to suit all ages and fitness levels, many of which you can also enjoy in winter with snowshoes.

From Domodossola Station you can take the Vigezzina tourist train that runs through the Vigezzo Valley (you must do this at least once!); in the valley there is a bus service linking the villages.
